They are magnificent, long sandy beaches with sparkling water in the city that are great for swimming, playing in the sand, or simply relaxing and soaking up the sun. Sault Ste. Marie is one of the best places to spend the summer because of its beautiful beaches.
Pancake Bay Provincial Park Beach is a 45-minute journey north on the Trans-Canada Highway all along the glittering sea along the shore. It has one of the sandiest beaches in Ontario.
This stunning location is well-known for its golden sand beach and crystal-clear Caribbean blue water. The Edmund Fitzgerald mountaineering trail provides a wonderful panoramic view of the lake and is ideal if you want to get some exercise before relaxing on the sand. With amazing and all-inclusive amenities, this Park is one of the most renowned go-camping sights.
Right in the south of Pancake Bay, there is another enormous Ontario beach on Lake Superior Batchawana Bay Provincial Park.
Batchewana Bay is a great area to spend a family day in the summer. The water here is pleasant and suitable for swimming! Essentials such as restrooms and seating are also available.
When travelling north on the Trans-Canada Highway along the Superior shoreline to Sault Ste. Marie, you will come across Havilland Bay. This public beach is a nearby favorite, only a half-hour drive from Sault Ste. Marie. Its eye-catching sand and gorgeous swimming water captivate practically everyone.
It’s also adjacent to the Havilland Bay Voyageur Trail, which offers stunning views of the lake. So, after you’ve finished hiking, go for a swim!
Seeing a dusking sight is always a pleasure to your eyes, no matter where you are, where you are going, or where you are going to visit, and no one wants to lose the chance to experience such beauty. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west, as we all know, but it’s easy to overlook how lucky the citizens and visitors of Sault Ste. Marie and the contained district are to watch this event daily.
We are very privileged and happy to have such natural access throughout four seasons and especially over the largest lake. The ability to observe the tint of the rainbow all over the sky is a beauty no one ever wanted to miss out on.
